The Year 6 pupils from Edgebury Primary School in Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley have been busy designing car crime prevention posters for the police warning of the dangers of leaving valuables in unattended vehicles, such as Sat Navs, cameras and laptops.
The five winning entries are currently on display outside Bromley police station and all of the other entries will be displayed over the coming months.
I love this type of crime prevention initiative and I’m sure these children will be regularly ticking off their Mums and Dads for leaving stuff in the car for the foreseeable future!
The lucky winners have been on what was no doubt a fun day out at the Met Police’s dog training centre in Keston.
Well done to the pupils of Edgebury Primary School and well done to the local police too, because this simple yet rewarding initiative is going to be remembered by the children for a very long time. (Pity the parents!)
