Suspect arrested before he eats pie!

Imagine this:  It’s late at night and you’re in bed watching the TV when you hear someone breaking in downstairs.  You quickly ring the police and quite sensibly remain upstairs as you’re scared to death fearing the worst. And then you smell the aroma of a baking pie wafting up the stairs!

Well, this unusual burglary has just occurred in Salisbury, Maryland.  The local newspaper, the Daily Times, reports that the suspect broke into the occupied home and having removed most of his clothes found a pie in the kitchen and proceeded to bake it.  When the police arrived he’d settled into a chair in the living room and was watching TV.

A number of questions remain unanswered.  What was the guy on? And what vegetables was he going to eat with the pie!
