The Police and Crime Commissioners get elected tomorrow

It seems the country can hardly contain its excitement as we reach the eve of the PCC elections, for tomorrow we go American style policing.  This is your chance to elect the one person in your area who’ll be in charge of the policing plan and the police budget.  Police Committees, consisting of lots of nice people, used to do the same sort of stuff, so I’m not entirely sure how this new system is going to be any better.  However I would strongly suggest you use your vote so that the person elected will at least have a sizeably supported mandate to do the job.
