I’ve spent my entire professional career in policing, mainly in crime prevention of one kind or another, and although the loss of property can be very upsetting to a victim, and I have every sympathy for them, I sometimes look beyond these shores and realise that there are many things worse than a stolen mobile or a missing spare wheel.
If you have a little time read Dr Alex Awiti’s article/opinion in allAfrica’s The Star concerning the horrific elephant extermination currently taking place in Africa. This is an international crime fuelled by ignorance and greed for which I have no answer, but hope others do.
