Well, what a disappointment, now that we know the identity of the Bradford Batman (nothing personal Mr Worby). It turns out that our mystery crime fighter is local man, Stan Worby, and the man he accompanied to the police station was, in fact his mate, Danny Frayne, who was giving himself up anyway.
According to The Daily Telegraph Mr Worby was gobsmacked by the worldwide coverage of his exploits. He said "At the end of the day it was a practical joke, just between me and Daniel."
And for a moment we all thought ‘Wow – holy fancy dress – Batman is real and lives and breathes in Bradford!’
Oh well, back to normality....
