Safer West End Business Partnership links up

Having worked in the West End of London for several years it’s great to be able to announce a link up with the Safer West End Business Partnership.  This Partnership’s efforts to reduce business crime and low level anti-social behaviour will have positive spin-offs for the local resident population and with access to this website we hope that we can do our bit to help.  If you’re a resident you might want to take advantage of the free and anonymous Home Security Survey application on this website.    

I’ll use the Partnership’s own words to describe what the Safer West End Business Partnership is about:

London's West End is a colourful, vibrant and unique part of the City, home to restaurants, bars, clubs and shops and hosting thousands of residents, businesses and visitors every day.

All this means that, sadly, it is also an area which attracts certain types of crime, including petty theft, shoplifting, drug-related activity and alcohol related disorder. We are working hard with local residents and businesses to crack down on this illegal activity, whilst still preserving the unique character which has made the area so famous.

The Safer West End Business Partnership is the umbrella organisation which coordinates and administers the SaferSoho Business Partnership and the Covent Garden & Strand Business Partnership.  The business crime reduction partnerships are a joint initiative with the local business community, the Metropolitan Police Service and Westminster City Council. They offer members the chance to help to reduce shoplifting, theft, alcohol related disorder and other anti-social behaviour which affects YOUR business.

A focus on reducing low level crime is our highest priority and by working closely with the police, Westminster City Council and communicating with the business community, using the latest technology, we provide immediate proactive support when an incident occurs and help plan initiatives for the longer term security of the neighbourhood.

The Safer West End Business Partnership is a crime reduction scheme run in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service and Westminster City Council.
