I’ve just received this link to an article in The New York Times concerning a convicted arsonist who has just been released from a life-meaning-life prison sentence after the forensic evidence was called into question. Thanks to our friends at Modern Policing for bringing this article to our attention.
You’ll see from the article that it’s been advances in modern day science, which have scotched some of the ‘old ways’ of fire investigation. The story also reveals the work of The Innocence Project of Texas, whose extremely interesting website is a must to visit.
