Retired policeman's crime prevention website tops Google!

Well, nothing could get in my way as I rushed down to the paper shop today to buy two copies of our local Gazette newspaper to see mine and Ben’s faces emblazoned across the front page!  (OK, not so much emblazoned, but appearing) So this must be our 15 minutes of fame!

It’s not often that people like us get into the news, so we are very grateful to Jack Griffith at the Uxbridge Gazette newspaper for reporting on our first birthday.  Obviously we hope the coverage will encourage a few more local people to visit the website and with our recent link up with Hillingdon Neighbourhood Watch there is every chance that this might happen.

Turning to the online article, I’m not so sure we want you all to be living in ‘fortresses’.  Secure, yes. Fortress like, no! But it’s just a turn of phrase, so I’m not phased.

Here’s to the next year and maybe some more newspaper coverage?
