According to research conducted by Hotwire.com an extra 1.6 million of us will be taking a holiday this year spending an average of £1,944 per person - up by two per cent from last year. So how much will you be spending on your home security arrangements while you’re away?
I’m currently on holiday with my friends and whilst I have already sorted out my home security I’m also lucky enough to have my two sons living at home. They also work from home a lot of the time so the house is rarely unoccupied. I realise, of course, that we’re an exception and that the majority of you will have no choice other than to leave your place empty for the one or two-week break, which ‘on average’ slightly raises the risk of burglary and theft from around the home.
So, whilst I’ve no doubt you’ve been thinking about your security arrangements, can I suggest a quick look through our on-line Holiday Security Checklist, just to make sure all the ‘Ts’ have been crossed. You can also print off a copy of the list to keep with your holiday paperwork
Have a great trip!
.......now where did I put that cold beer?
