Avon and Somerset Constabulary should be very pleased with themselves after a relatively crime free event at Glastonbury. There was a total of 296 reported crimes, which is 98 fewer than in 2010 and 2011. There were no serious crimes and only one attempted robbery. Thefts (mainly from tents) reduced by almost 35% and the number of arrests for possession of controlled drugs was similar to previous years. Overall 99.8% of visitors had a completely safe and crime-free experience.
Well done to Avon and Somerset Constabulary and for everyone who took part for helping to make this year’s festival memorable for all the right reasons!
