Crime Prevention Associates is headed by Alan Edmunds a former Detective Chief Inspector in my old force, the Met, who after retirement joined Hampshire Constabulary as their Crime Prevention Co-ordinator.
Alan developed a number of initiatives that will be known to police officers, including Operation Cobra, a vehicle crime reduction strategy and more recently ‘Simple2start’ an initiative originally developed to underpin his Force-wide burglary reduction plan and now an initiative that’s being adopted by many other UK police forces. Clearly Alan has a wealth of policing and crime prevention experience and it’s great to be partnering up.
Crime Prevention Associates are passionate about reducing the plight of repeat victims; reducing repeat offending and focusing partnership effort on tackling the problems in 'repeat streets'.
All associates have worked together in different capacities in recent years and their website is a contact point for them.
Individual associates can be contacted direct by email or telephone. Alternatively you can have an informal chat with Alan who can help identify your needs and put you in touch with a person to guide you.
Look out for a page on this site in Reference soon that will provide a fuller explanation of Alan's Simple2start initiative.
