Welcome to The Crime Prevention Website!

Crack open the bubbly; order that Indian Takeaway; The Crime Prevention Website has been launched!! (Well, at least that’s what we’ll be doing!)

Little did we realise, twenty two months ago, how massive this task was going to be; how many gallons of lamp oil I would get through and how many computers would break down. But, as the sun climbs higher in the sky, the Olympics draws near and the hosepipe ban is upon us I can actually say that we’ve done it; we’ve bloody well gone and done it!

The idea to create this website actually came from my son, Ben. I’d been approached twice in 2010 to rewrite my home security book; inventively entitled ‘Home Security – the complete handbook’ (written with Heather Gurden of Essex police) and I almost agreed to do it until, that is, my lad advised me otherwise and convinced me that by putting a book on a website I would no longer have to be in the hands of a publisher or have to rewrite it every five years or so.

So, here it is and we hope it’s been worth the effort.

As you’re reading this you’ve obviously been looking around the site and I thank you for that. Are you going to be the first to register on the Forum? Have you tried out the Home Security Survey yet? I hope you’re itching to do so, so let me finish this short post now so you can carry on looking and I can eat me Indian.
