Thank you to all who have paid us a visit over the past month and for the promotion given to us through Twitter, Facebook and G+; all of which has given us the best month ever since launch!
October saw a 10% increase in monthly visits to 25,000 and encouragingly a 20% increase in page views to 48,000. These stats translate to annual rates of 300K visitors and 576K page views, which is excellent progress since our annual visitor rate in October last year was just 57K!
The main objective for the site was to provide free and detailed advice for anyone who wanted to prevent crime and judging by the numbers of visitors we’re getting we are certainly achieving that aim.
However, we won’t be resting on these laurels of early success, because we’ve still got a long way to go to get to the 500k annual visits target we set ourselves back when we launched in April 2012, so where’s that midnight oil!
Some of you will know that me and Ben have pretty much been running this site for ‘lurv’ on little more than an old shoestring (with one end missing) and so the October launch of our Security Products and Services Directory, which is already listing some excellent people and companies, is going to help us get to the next stage of this website’s development. First up will be to get the site properly designed, so we can drop the ‘beta’ from the top banner! At around the same time we’ll be re-launching our new forum, so Christmas and the New Year is going to be a very busy time for us.
And talking of design and new ideas for the site, do please contact us if there’s something you’d like to see on the site. I’ve already got a long list of them, but I don’t mind adding a few more! Simply use the CONTACT box to get in touch and I will get back to you.
