We are delighted to learn that friends and Directory members of this website, Doctor Tim Pascoe and Mr John Strutton (Griffin Research and Consultancy Limited) were recently declared the winners of the Counter-Terrorism Solution of the Year at this year’s Security Excellence Awards.
The awards were revealed on 23 October during a gala dinner, which took place at the London Hilton on Park Lane. The event was hosted by TV Comedian Rufus Hound and among the other category winners were BT Security, Corp Security, Showsec and Axis Security. Security Manager of the year went to William Hill’s Mark Hepherd and a special award went to Don Randall, the Bank of England’s Head of Security.

The hard work and dedication of the security industry and its people is not something that we members of the public are generally aware of and so I thought it right to bring this event to your notice to highlight the enormous amount of work that is undertaken (usually behind the scenes) by the industry to keep us safe.
