Today I’m off out to the Designing out Crime Association (DOCA) event at Central Saint Martins, Granary Building, 1 Granary Square, King’s Cross. London N1C 4AA.

The all day event begins at 10:00 and is open to both members and non-members: There will be free teas and coffees and a buffet lunch.

A representative from the Association of Chief Police Officers will be talking about the future of crime prevention; Estee Lauder will be describing their stylish approach to crime prevention; You’ll learn how lighting effects can be used for both art and security; Oscar Newman’s Defensible Space theory will be revisited;  The dubious nature of plant life in high security spaces will be discussed and we’ll be learning whether railings are keeping people in or keeping people out!

The event will close around 15:30 – can’t wait!

See you there?
