The Secured by Design 3D Virtual Toolkit

Although this application has been on the Secured by Design (SBD) website for quite a while I picked up a copy of this excellent application at the Designing out Crime meeting last week.  The application helps anyone involved with designing, planning and building housing developments to understand best practice in designing out crime.  The application provides a series of scenarios that highlight the design decisions that could increase the risk of crime and anti-social behaviour. Each scene has an alternative solution detailing the relevant standards recommend by Secured by Design and the police services.
