The following is from The Droitwich Standard
Residents can get help and advice on home security at a pop-up one-stop shop, which the police are bringing to Droitwich this week.
The Love Your Home Shop will be in the Spa for the first time - between 10am and 3pm on Friday (January 24) and Saturday (January 25) in the St Andrew’s precinct.
Those who go along can learn how to protect themselves and their homes from crime and find out about techniques such as property marking and registering valuables on the Immobolise website.
As well as police officers, there will be representatives there from Neighbourhood Watch, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and the Wychavon Community Safety team.
Youngsters can also enter colouring and drawing competitions.
Insp Janet Heritage, the Safer Neighbourhood Team inspector for Wychavon, said similar events in Worcester, Pershore and Evesham had proved popular and she hoped this one would be the same.
“It is the ideal time to come and see us while we are all under one roof. If we can prevent one person from becoming a victim, it is all worthwhile."
She thanked the shopping centre's management and said she had received very positive feedback at the previous ones from people who had gone away with good advice and/or leaflets.
TCPW says If you’re shopping in the Spa or St Andrew’s precinct do pop along to the Shop to show them your support and benefit from their advice.
