LAPD recruits endure tough training, then hit reality on the streets

Interesting article and short film about Los Angeles Police Department's training academy. 

Be warned: The film contains disturbing images of training staff shouting and screaming at recruits and there’s lots of gun fire and tasering.  Somewhat different to British Police training (even in my days), but I suppose this reflects the very different policing challenges faced by these brave men and women in Los Angeles.
