A Police Community Support Officer from Tewkesbury is urging local people to come along to a very special event next week.
PCSO Sandra Jones has organised what is described as "a celebration of everything Tewkesbury has to offer" at Watson Hall, Barton Street between 10.30am and 1.30pm next Friday (April 4).
PCSO Jones said: "We'll be having a police stand at the event so the community can come and speak to us and get some crime prevention advice too.
"The main point of this though is to show everyone that Tewkesbury is very much open for business and unaffected by recent flooding.
"We will have representatives from lots of local agencies at the event including Gloucestershire County Council, the NHS and Citizens' Advice Bureau, as well as resident groups and businesses.
"People from right across our diverse community will be here to speak to people and showcase everything the town has to offer.
"By coming together I'm sure barriers will be broken down and our community will be even stronger."
TCPW Comment: I bet Sandra Jones has been working very hard to get all this together, so I do hope the local community will pop in to support the event and take the opportunity to ask questions of all community services represented.
