If you think that violence has been on the increase across the world, think again. Professor Stevin Pinker’s lecture entitled ‘A History of Violence’ argues that violence in our societies has been on a long-term decline. Stevin Pinker examines the history of wars, genocide, child correction and violence against animals in this fascinating lecture.
