The sun ain’t shining, the sky is grey
I bet you’re wondering what to do today
Well, if I was you I’d be buying a safe
To lock your valuables and cash away
The other thing to do that will always pay
Is to mark your stuff in such a way
That if it got stolen and recovered by the police
They’d know where to return it – Hip Hip Hooray!
In the bad weather we’re currently experiencing, don’t waste your time writing dreadful rhymes like I do.
Instead, have a think about all the valuable stuff you possess and what might happen if a burglar paid a visit and took it. I know you might be claiming for some things on the insurance, but there will be certain items that are irreplaceable.
You can make an inventory of your more precious items, photograph them, mark them, register them, whatever you can do to make the police’s job easier should they recover them. By doing so you might not only get them back, but could also provide the necessary evidence for the police to prosecute the ‘person’ in possession of them
You know it makes sense! And you’ve got this weekend to do it!
