Calvin is on a Jolly Holiday with Julia

This week I will be going on holiday and although I shall be monitoring the website and my emails (subject to a signal) my regular news items will be somewhat reduced.

I’m fortunate in having family in possession of my home when I'm away as it's also a place of work for them.  However, I leave nothing to chance and so I practice what I preach and set up numerous safeguards to put off the burglars, including copious instructional notes about making sure the light timers and alarm are set, the garden is watered and tidied, tools are put away and so on.
