Nick Ross formerly of Crimewatch to give talk at Basingstoke Discovery Centre

Nick Ross, formerly of Crimewatch and a supporter of this website, will be delivering a talk at the Basingstoke Discovery Centre 19/20 Westminster House Festival Place Basingstoke RG21 7LS on Thursday, 17 July at 7pm.

Hear him talk about his career in journalism and how his sometimes controversial views set conventional thinking on its head and challenged everything we take for granted, showing why the criminal justice system has little effect on crime rates, how policing has been hijacked to serve the needs of lawyers, and how facts about crime are continually manipulated to serve the needs of politicians and the media.

I have no doubt Nick will be mentioning his book Crime: How To Solve It, and Why So Much of What We're Told Is Wrong (published 2013) and I'm sure the evening will prove to be very interesting
