A twenty-one year old woman from Brisbane placed an advert on Gumtree recently saying she wanted to purchase a couple of iPhones. A short while later she received a call from a woman saying she had just the phones she was looking for.
Delighted and excited, she arranged to meet the seller at a nearby McDonalds where she handed over $1500 for two iphones. The boxes looked brand new, but she didn’t open them until she got home only to find each one containing a real apple!
Now I know you’ll all be chuckling to yourselves and thinking up silly puns like ‘she’s well and truly stuck up a gum tree’ but there is a serious core to this story and that is....... ‘open the bloody box!’
You know it makes sense!
