I recently got back from a short trip to the States (Las Vegas) and so I was keen to see how this site was doing. As I've said before, a website like this ain't worth the electricity if nobody is going to visit and use it and so I'm pleased to report that things are going pretty well! (I don't want to appear over-confident!)

On a Google search for the words 'Crime Prevention' we've moved from page 17 of the results to page 2 - so nearly there! Using other search parameters we are also getting a few page 1's - nice!

We've had well over 2,000 visits and over 13,000 page views. This is just the sort of progress we're looking for, although we will have to tinker a little to improve our search engine optimization.

What's been particularly fabuloso is the number of organisations that have been spreading the word. Thames Valley Police I already mentioned, but the Cumbria Police sent a message out to several hundred people last week suggesting they might like to try out the Home Security Survey and 100 did as a result!  A number of Neighbourhood Watches have also been spreading the word and of the 300+ surveys so far completed 39.7% said that they'd heard about this free service from their Neighbourhood Watch Association.

Added to this we've had some very nice things said about the site, which can be viewed in Supporters' Testimonies.

So thank you all very much and I'll give another little update in a couple of weeks time
