Yateley is a suburban town in the north-east corner of Hampshire (Pop 22,000), which has an active and growing Neighbourhood Watch.  Fortunately the Watch also operates a very tidy website and if you live in the area it’s a website well worth visiting.

What’s more we have a reciprocal link in place with them, which we hope will help them in some small way to achieve at least one of their aims, which is to ‘enable residents to reduce opportunities for crime and make it more difficult for the would-be thief, vandal or criminal to act in their neighbourhoods.’

The Yateley Neighbourhood Watch Association works closely with the Yateley Police Safer Neighbourhood Team in a combined effort to reduce crime in their local area. Currently there are 105 streets covered by the scheme, and this list is continually growing.

It is certainly worth checking their website to see if your street is covered by the Watch.  If you can’t find it on the list and would like to help out I’m sure they would be very happy to hear from you.  The Coordinators’ phone numbers and email addresses can be found on their ‘Contact’ page.

Neighbourhood Watch is an important movement for crime prevention and we are delighted to have made the link.
