The Crime Prevention Website is a little over two-years-old now and it’s that time again when I ask my friends and supporters for a little help to promote it. And as you will see below, it will only take a couple of ‘clicks’ to make all the difference!
Getting a website like ours to page one for various search results is not an easy task and relies to a large extent on achieving links from authoritative websites and, of course, having good content and getting plenty of visitors. It’s sort of ‘chicken and egg’ really, because if you’re top of the pile your site will be seen by plenty of people, but to be seen by plenty of people you’ve got to be top of the pile!
The most important thing for us is to continue running and growing this website and as soon as Ben has finished his extracurricular activity outside of his daytime job (designing a phone app game for a well known celebrity and actor) we’ll be adding new stuff to make our website even better.
How you can help me and Ben in ten simple ways......there’s lots of ifs, but no buts!
- If you think one of our stories on Facebook would be of interest to your Facebook friends please press that little ‘Share’ button
- If you would like to say nice things about the website please let us know by sending us a message via ‘Contact us’. These get published on our Supporters Page
- If you like one of our news stories on the main site please share it with your friends and colleagues and check the ‘like’ box
- If you would like to contribute to the advice content on the site or have ideas for new pages use ‘Feedback’ at the top of each page. Contributions are credited to the author unless you want to remain anonymous. Remember that this site is for you and by contributing to the content you’ll be helping your family, friends and colleagues
- If you manufacture or supply products and or services that meet security standards and would like to advertise on our site please get in touch using Advertise with us. We now have some excellent companies and people in our Directory and the income is going to help us develop the site still further
- If you currently share our Newsletter with colleagues please ask them to subscribe to it themselves
- If you have influence with the people who run your police service or local authority website, please ask them to link to us and we’ll link back (12 police forces currently link to TCPW)
- If you have a Twitter account please follow us and re-tweet out tweets
- If you haven’t taken our Home Security Survey yet please be brave and do so and encourage your friends and neighbours to do it as well. Help us reach 3,000 completed surveys by September
- If you find this website useful please tell others about it and help us make it the most visited site for crime prevention on the net
