The United States’ National Crime Prevention Council and Bureau of Justice Assistance have recently released two public service announcements concerning the safe storage of firearms featuring children telling their parents to be more careful with their guns.

The US lost 11,419 people to guns in 2013, about 31 a day (See Periscopic.com for a visual representation - give it a few moments to get going).
By contrast in England and Wales the total death toll due to firearms in the reporting year 2012/13 was 87 (See this link to the Gun Control Network at http://www.gun-control-network.org/GCN02.htm)
