The Country Crime Fighters Awards is a nationwide competition run by NFU Mutual to celebrate and reward fantastic examples of crime prevention taking place in the countryside. Whether it’s due to the rural economy, tighter security in towns, or the rise in oil, meat and scrap metal prices, people living in the countryside continue to experience crime. However, they are not taking this scourge lying down. Across the country new security initiatives are springing up involving rural communities.
The Country Crime Fighters Awards 2014 are set to be bigger and better than ever before with a new emphasis on crime prevention. But we need your support. We are calling for more entries to the competition and to reward individuals for their extensive contribution to the reduction of rural crime. To do this, we have developed a new range of award categories for 2014.
The 2014 categories are:
- Social Media Crime Prevention
- Equestrian Crime Prevention
- Farm Crime Prevention
- Local Community Crime Prevention
- Wildlife Crime Prevention
- Rural Business Crime Prevention
- Crime Prevention through Technology
National winner: £1,500
National runners-up: £1,000
Regional winners: £500
